It was wonderful to listen to an all-female panel on how to turn platform technologies into life-changing therapeutics. My key takeaways from the startup perspective:
1. Value creation primarily comes from the therapeutics you create not the platform you build.
2. Be careful with the number of pharma collaborations you run, it can distract you from progressing your pipeline.
3. Think carefully about the unmet needs you are solving and your differentiation before pursuing a target.
